Maternity Massage Certification
Oregon School of Massage is proud to offer extensive training in massage for pregnant and laboring women and new mothers. More than a practicum in massage techniques, this certification allows participants to explore the womens' wisdom that has supported mothers-to-be through the birth journey for thousands of years.
Perinatal bodywork is now flourishing in many professional settings, such as birthing centers, hospitals and medical offices. Challenges to reaching this target market are addressed, and examples of potential promotional strategies are shared. Research is presented to enable practitioners to describe the benefits of massage to health care providers, prospective clients and/or employers. Download Maternity Intent Guidelines here.
