BOWENWORK® with Pratiti Fullerton

Monday, Feb 8th, 6:30pm - 8:00pm - 1 CEU
Held at: Oregon School of Massage, 9500 SW Barbur Blvd #100, Portland
Free - Call 503-244-3420 to reserve a seat.

Bowenwork with Pratiti Fullerton: Bowenwork, developed in Australia, is based on the principle that our bodies are self-healing, and with the right stimulation, can return to a healthy state. Pratiti Fullerton, with 13 years of experience practicing Bowenwork and 2 years of teaching will be presenting information on the history and philosophy of this technique.

Bowenwork practitioners use a series of very gentle, precise manipulations, called "moves" on muscles, joints and connective tissue that send messages to the brain and initiate the body's own healing mechanisms. After each move has been executed the practitioner allows time for the body to respond before administering the next. The nature of this work allows the practitioner to get maximum results with minimal physical effort, and a practitioner can treat more than one client at a time.

Pratiti will explain how the classic, four-part Bowenwork move is done and some participants will have a chance to experience a sample of the work. Come and get a taste of this unique style of bodywork on Monday evening February 8th from 6:30- 8:00 at the Portland OSM campus.

Those attending will receive a certificate for one hour of massage continuing education credit.

Pratiti Fullerton began her massage career in California in 1986 and has been studying Bowenwork since 1996. A 2005 graduate of Oregon School of Massage, she has been a Registered Bowenwork Instructor since November 2007. Pratiti is currently practicing Bowenwork at her clinic in St. Helens.
