Health Endorsement Option
Guidelines for MD, ND, DC, PT, OT, RN, LPN, LAc - 300 hours
The Oregon Board of Massage Therapists offers a path to licensure for professionals currently holding an Oregon license in related healthcare fields, as listed above.
The applicant must complete 300 hours of Massage Theory and Practical Application, Clinical Practice, Business Development, Communications and Ethics, Sanitation and Hydrotherapy. Kinesiology may be included but Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology classes are not considered towards fulfilling the 300 hours outlined by the Oregon Board of Massage Therapists. The applicant must take and pass the Oregon Practical Exam, but does not take a Written Exam.
Classes are offered in a flexible schedule to accommodate full or part-time, and day or evening students. The Health Endorsement Option may be completed in as little as nine months. Tuition cost is $5,150-$5,550.
